Hello, This is Dr. Tomato.
Today I will be explaing how I began to pursue the career of treating autism.
At first, I, just like others, thought that autism wasn’t a disease that can be cured.
Because I was thinking that way, when I thought about treatments autism was not a concern.
There are a few reasons that I began to focus on autism treatment.
The first reason was that a lot of parents with children that have autism came to me and asked me to enable my child to do eye contact.
It wasn’t exactly my will.
I treated a lot of kids with development disorders.
Since I knew that kids with a lack of cognitive development became much better when their eye contact skills improved,
I was able to develop many know-hows by creating oriental medicine that helped with eye contact de velopment.
I do not know how this information spread out, but parents that found out about me came to me and asked for treatment.
At first I told them that autism wasn’t something that can be treated.
But when they asked me to at least improve their child’s eye contact,
I accepted it because treatment for eye contact improvement was something I can do.
During this process, I experienced a lot of kids have their eye contact improved.
That was when I began to slowly get into autism treatment.
The second reason was that one of my friends had a child that had very slow development on language and social skills.
When he was diagnosed for the problems he had,
he was diagnosed with Aspurger’s syndrome.
When I saw cases like that appear around me,
I began to think that I should treat that child.
Since then, over the last 10 years, I focused mainly on treating autism.
The time I spent on autism, the last 10 years,
was consisted of half joy and hope, and half frusturation and exhaustion.
The joy came when I got to watch kids develop and change completely starting from creating eye contact.
When eye contact was formed, they began to develop their social skills after being stopped previously.
Some kids began to imitate aswell.
From what their parents said, some kids begame much more bright.
In the process, as they took oriental medicine, one by one kids began to escape autism.
For me it was an aatonishing experience.
I recognized that autism was a diease that can be treated.
However, the reason that I sometimes had to feel frusturation and Dissapointment was that
although over 90% of the kids at the start manage to improve their eye contact,
only a portion of them continued to improve,
and the rest fell back down after improving for some time.
What this means that,
Since people neurological syndromes that can’t be treated won’t improve at all from the begining,
all those kids that got better at the begining have room to become better.
The fact that some of the kids fell back means that there is a factor that is hindering their continued development.
Treatment can only succeed when we discover and understadn that factor.
However, it was very hard to find it.
Finding the pattern that leads to regression was a very hard path.
Another reason I felt helpless was when the kid’s parents ask me how their child’s eye contact improved,
wondering what the oriental medicine did, I was unable to give an accurate answer.
Since there was never an oriental doctor that succeded in treating autism with oriental medicine,
I was unable to get help from anywhere and give a good answer.
These two things,
The reason of regression during treatment and an accurate answer for how oriental medicine can treat autism was needed….
