Hello.
This is the 20th session of the Dr. Tomato Protocol.
Today, I’m going to show you how to get better when you’re getting better at free speech and severe autism.
Let me explain the six developmental stages.
Severe non-firing autistic children use language.
the stage of development that goes through until ping pong conversation is possible.
What if you are a parent raising children with severe non-firing autism?
It will be a dream goal.
When I try to go through like this,
The developmental stage that you have to go through when you succeed in the treatment.
It appears in common .
It is supposed to go through six developmental stages.
Especially among the children who are undergoing treatment with us,
What about children with severe spontaneous autism?
The things that go through this developmental process one by one
You must understand and proceed with the treatment.
These six developmental stages are
This is the first eye contact formation step.
The second action imitation step.
3rd Instruction Implementation Step
4th stage of nonverbal communication development
The fifth is the required language communication stage in which language emerges.
The sixth is the stage of establishing interactions using language.
Through these 6 developmental processes,
It goes all the way to language interaction.
The most important and most difficult thing in this process is
The success or failure of the treatment is what’s going on.
It’s steps one and two.
The first step is to make eye contact.
Step two, if the behavioral imitation is settled in a stable manner,
Eventually , it goes to steps 3, 4, 5, and 6.
However , the first and second stages are children’s level of eye contact.
You have to get to the point where you copy the behavior of an ordinary child.
If the after-effects are very stable and it doesn’t work,
In the end, it is difficult to reach with normal development.
But if you look at children who have ABA or cognitive behavioral therapy,
Steps 1 and 2 are hardly formed.
Steps 3 and 5 with little formation.
That is, the step of performing instructions.
the action of a child when instructed to do something
Then, he teaches the language and repeats the water and rice yoga that the child wants.
I change my behavior based on these two things.
We see a very deformed development process.
Level 1 and 2 are very weak. I’m good at level 3.
Step 4 The ability to communicate nonverbally does not exist.
It’s just that kids who are mechanically rebellious.
It is a phenomenon that occurs when ABA treatment is mainly used.
This phenomenon can never lead to normal development.
When steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 develop very evenly and slowly,
I make it very clear that a child can develop into normal activity.
The eye contact formation step is like this .
I know that autistic children need eye contact because they’re not good at eye contact.
ABA treatment, any therapist trains kids eye contact.
But what I want is not a trained eye contact.
For example, when you talk, you have to look at your eyes. When you sing, you have to look at your eyes.
The eye contact made like this is very mechanical eye contact.
I’ll look at it for a while when people talk.
It does not maintain eye processing ability.
So what I’m talking about is that eye contact is not eye contact.
