Hello. This is the fifteenth session of ‘Dr. Tomato Protocol’.
Today, I will tell you about ‘the 4-step diet that beats autism’.
There are four types of diets that are recognized as helpful
in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder and confirmed by papers.
First, the most well-known ‘gluten casein diet’.
If you search ‘GFCF diet’ in English,
you will find very detailed instructions on how to proceed,
so please refer to an Internet search.
The second diet is the ‘ketogenic diet’.
You can search for ‘LCHF diet’.
You can also search for ‘ketogenic diet’
so please refer to those detailed explanations.
The third is an additional approved diet.
I dubbed it the ‘anti-allergic diet’.
It is an allergy avoidance diet done through an IGG test, which is a delayed hypersensitivity reaction.
Another is IGE, an immediate allergic reaction
rather than a delayed allergy test.
In Korea, it can be confirmed through the MAST test.
So, if you search for ‘lGG, IGE diet’, a detailed explanation will come out.
The fourth is the ‘fructose restricted diet’.
If you search for ‘Sugar Free Diet’, it will come up.
These are the four diets.
You can find out the specific details by searching,
but I will give you a few points for reference.
What is the key to a gluten-free, casein-free diet?
1. Do not eat foods made with flour.
2: Do not eat foods made with milk.
What is the most common question asked here?
“What about beans?”
American information tends to emphasize soy free,
but I don’t think this matters that much.
If the IGG test tells you that you are not allergic to beans?
You are free to consume them.
However, if you have a high sensitivity reaction in the IGG test,
it is better to avoid it.
The second thing you should know?
When it comes to gluten-free and casein-free diet,
it’s very difficult to keep it perfectly gluten-free
because there are so many foods with trace amounts added.
But in this gluten-free casein-free diet,
what’s more serious if you look at the harmfulness criteria?
Casein.
That said, prohibiting milk is absolutely essential.
Prohibiting flour is a little less important.
So, you can think of it as prohibiting eating flour
as a staple food and prohibiting snacks made from flour.
I don’t think you have to avoid ingredients
that contain a little bit of gluten like soy sauce.
From my experience, there won’t be that much of a problem.
Most importantly, even in flour gluten,
processed foods made from flour were very critical.
What was the most difficult part of the GFCF diet for autistic children?
There are many kids who habitually drink milk for a long time.
I think there are a lot of conflicts
between parents about when to replace milk.
There are cases where I use rice milk, almond milk, or alternative dairy products.
What would I recommend in these cases as well?
Never use products that are processed.
Considering that those products don’t have very good results when used?
What’s inside almond milk, rice milk, or any of these commercially available foods?
A lot of other sugar ingredients that are not actually listed are added.
I did not see cases
where kids that consumed those products showed quick improvement
which is I am now prohibiting them.
Then, what if your child only prefers to drink milk because of the sensitivity of their mouth?
How should they consume milk?
You have to make it yourself.
What is the safest way to do so at home?
